Christmas at Foodbank

19th December 2020

We have been absolutely amazed with the support of the community this Christmas.  Whilst it has been challenging to work under Covid-19 guidelines with reduced staff in our small premises, we have endeavoured to support those in our community who find themselves in crisis by providing doorstep only deliveries of food. This we could not have done without our small team of community delivery drivers who came to our aid at the start of this pandemic. Of course, none of this would have been possible if it were not for the amazing generosity of individuals, social and community groups, schools, businesses and supermarkets who have continued to support us with donations of food and with finance throughout this pandemic and particularly over this Christmas period.  We will be delivering emergency food on Tuesday 22nd and Wednesday 23rd of December but will then close until Tuesday 5th January enabling our volunteers who have been working so hard to take a much needed break.
