We are so grateful to Unity 101 Football Club and to DC United Football Club who have responded to the #Fridays4Foodbanks initiative by setting up fundraising pages on our give.net donation platform. Unity 101 set a target of £250 and with gift aid raised £317.64. DC United have set a target of £500 and so far with gift aid have raised £329.95. Thank you to everyone involved.
Thank you to everyone who has donated at this, what for a lot of people is a very difficult and stressful time. We have been overwhelmed and touched by the generosity of so many people who have donated in so many different ways to help us provide food for those people who find themselves in crisis.
It has been a challenging time for Waterside Foodbank as it is entirely run by volunteers many of whom are in the vulnerable age bracket and have had to stay at home so we are especially thankful to the many volunteer drivers who have come forward to help deliver our foodboxes on our Tuesday and Friday delivery only days.
